ProStart I
ProStart students spend two years in the classroom mastering the fundamental management and culinary skills needed for success. Level 1 students receive training the management, culinary skills, sanitation, workplace safety, kitchen math, food handling and storage, sauces, stocks and soups, fruits and vegetables, and serving guests. This is the first of two courses that must be taken to earn the National Restaurant Association Certificate. The certification provides opportunities for students to apply for scholarships and attend culinary programs around the country.
